This cake is universally known. It will be our first time, though, trying to bake it at home this weekend. Will get back to this post with an *Update about its texture and the overall taste.

  • 150 g grated carrots
  • 100 g ground almonds
  • 50 g ground hazelnuts
  • 50 g roasted cranberry
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g plain flour
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon 5 spices or ground nutmegs
This is How I Do
  1. Mix until white(ish) sugar and eggs

  2. Add ground almonds, flour, salt, hazelnuts

  3. Add 5 spices (or groung nutmegs subject to your own preference).
    Then grated carrots with the lemon juice.
    Finish by adding the roasted cranberry

  4. Rub butter on your chosen baking pan.
    Bake in the oven for 30/40 minutes at 180°
